Grand Rapids Coffee Shops with WiFi

Grand Rapids wifiThere are several downtown Grand Rapids coffee shops I like to visit and rather than google them each time, I thought I’d just post them up here so I can find them easier and also for others to check out. When I’m out showing condos downtown these are handy to stop in at, or meet a client because they offer good coffee, wireless internet and a comfortable, informal setting.

So in no particular order:

West Coast Coffee: West Coast coffee is located in condo central at 55 Monroe Center. It’s a nice West Coast Coffeeclean establishment, which offers free wifi. The only draw back is that they close 5pm during the week. They feature local art on the walls (for sale) and it’s really a great location to meet with clients. When there check out the cool origami made out of dollar bills! The sidewalk out front is heated, and it is literally surrounded by condos; 65 Monroe condos, Monroe Center Condos, Front Row condos, Peck condos, Cityview condos and the Brickway Residences.

Bigby Coffee: There is a Bigby outlet at the corner of Pearl St and Monroe Center. Good coffee and great muffins. Nice, clean setting with free wifi and are open until 9pm most days.

The Bitter End (open 24hrs): I like this place and frequent it alot. The Bitter End is located on 752 Fulton St. NW, just past the tracks. You have a younger crowd, mainly students, the coffee is excellent and there are some interesting photos and art that cover the walls. The main attraction for me are the hours of operation. The Bitter End is open 24 hrs/day and offer wifi. The staff is always friendly and the coffee always hot.

Javasphere: This coffee shop used to be known as the Wireless Cafe and has since changed names and location. Javasphere is located at 5 Lyon St NW, and is open M-F 8am-2am and weekends from 10am-3am. I’ll be checking this one out.

Go Java Coffee: Go Java coffee is located at 15 Ionia, just south of Fulton. It’s close to Bar Divani, the Van Andel Arena and is just across the street from Tannery Row Condos.

Riverfront Cafe: Formerly It’s a Grind Coffee House is located at 235 Fulton St W, behind Plaza Towers condos and facing the Grand River. I have been here several times while showing condos at the Plaza. I’ve even written an offer here. They have free wifi, good coffee and really good lunches including soups, sandwiches and wraps.

Starbucks at JW Marriott: It’s the Marriott, not much else to say. Sitting out on the deck overlooking the Grand River is never a bad thing!

Mad Cap Coffee: Located at 98 Monroe Center, in the heart of downtown GR at the corner of Ottawa and Monroe Center. Any place that can trace the genealogy of a coffee bean is ok in my books!
